This year is a B or S theme. So come on all you sailors, butchers, bakers, stewards, slaves, bankers etc.  We will have a BBQ and entertainment on the night. For all of you who have been before you will know this as one of the highlights of the year, for all new members keep an eye out for the time sheet, it will be out in mid October, as it always fills up fast, this could be the  craziest game of your life.

We need people to give some good stories that have happened through the year to anyone you might of been playing with. So let us know.

COURSE IMPROVMENTS

The renovations are moving along well.

The changes we are making to keep everyone informed:

No 6 will become no. 1.  ( to the new green)

No. 7 will become no. 2

No. 8 will become no. 3      No. 9 will become no. 4.

No. 1 will become no. 5 ( with a new tee  at the end of the old driving range and will become a par 4)

No. 2 will become no. 6       No. 3 will become no. 7

No. 4 will become no. 8  ( changing to a par 5 with a new tee and a new green going on to the current 5th fairway.)

No. 5 will become no. 9. (with a new tee off area as well as a  new green in the old tennis court area)

There will be a new putting green on the old No. 1 mens tee area.

So there is a lot of work taking place at the moment and will be for the next 6 months, so we are asking everyone to be patient as this goes on.

The new ladies tee has just been planted on the current no. 6 as well on the new no. 5 tee area. These should come into play in the next 3 to 4 weeks.  The two new greens are taking well. They have just been toped dressed. We are hoping to have the new no. 8 ( current 4) green built and planted by Christmas.

With weather permitting most of the renovations should be complete for 2009 open in April.

The driving range:  The tee area has been turfed now, and it is on schedule for a November opening.  We have the first of the nets now up.  Work will continue on the driving range once the tee at the end is playable, as we cannon fence it all in untill that is in play.

Some of the flood damage has started to get repaired as well, with the hole on 3 fairway starting to get filled.  New sand has been placed in the bunkers and the buggy path on 4 has been repaired as well.
